After a royal wedding that captured the attention the world over and broke internet viewing records, a honeymoon is next for Prince William and his new wife, Catherine Middleton, right?

Well, eventually. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have opted to hold off on a honeymoon, instead choosing to have a private weekend to themselves in the United Kingdom in an unknown location - because Prince William has to return to work as a search and rescue pilot next week.

"The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance," a statement from Clarence House said.

So we'll just have to wait and see where the couple will spend their private getaway, another secret likely to be kept just as well as who was going to be designing Middleton's wedding dress.

Speaking of Middleton's fashion - the world got another glimpse of the new bride when photographers snapped photos of her and the Duke of Cambridge leaving Saturday by helicopter for their weekend alone.

Gallery: Kate's outfits fit for a royal

The pair stepped out of the garden entrance to Buckingham Palace hand-in-hand with bright smiles - and the sun still shining.

Middleton, whose style will undoubtedly will be followed after the success of her wedding dress, was wearing a light blue dress, a dark jacket and wedge platform shoes. A cheerful Duke of Cambridge wore khaki/chino style pants with a faint blue shirt and dark jacket.

The style as they set off to their unknown location remained regal, but relaxed with the palace backdrop behind them was in contrast to the ornate outfits during the wedding as well as the fashion from the reception party that followed.

Gallery: The royal wedding from sundown to sunset

For the private nighttime reception Middleton was photographed standing next to Prince Charles' wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, wearing a white strapless gown with embellishments at the waist and a sweater - again from famed Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. The groom and his father also made an outfit change for the night - opting for formal dinner jackets. Other media outlets photographed maid of honor Pippa Middleton, Catherine Middleton's sister, in an emerald green dress with a plunging neckline.

And while the couple jet sets for some time away from the camera - one thing is clear. Catherine Middleton has impressed the masses and fashion experts with her fashion choices and soon enough, the lightbulbs will be flashing to capture her outfits for years to come.

What did you think about the Duchess of Cambridge's choice of outfits? And which did you like best? Let us know in the comments below.

It's been a crazy day for Royal Wedding iReporter Jason Sauter. Jason won the CNN iReport Royal Wedding Contest by reporting on his girlfriend Nancy Vidarte's mild obsession with the royal couple.

Jason and Nancy got a trip to London and a chance to watch the festivities from a prime spot near Buckingham Palace.

Getting to the wedding was a bit of an adventure.

Private escort to Buckingham Palace

Roads were closed in the area, so they had to abandon their taxi and walk past the throngs of spectators who had been camped out for days.

"We ended up getting a private escort by the police," Sauter said.

Jason and Nancy had a great view of Kate Middleton as she rode past on the way to Westminster Abbey. "To see her and the huge smile on her face was overwhelming," Nancy said. Jason said she was tearing up as she snapped a picture of the bride.

"She was basically speechless," he said. "And that's hard for her to do."

Nancy's view from Buckingham Palace

They also caught a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth II's yellow suit as the royal carriage and a small army of guards on horseback trotted by.

Queen's carriage passes us on route

Nancy said people in the crowd were smiling and singing during the ceremony and she could tell that it was a huge event for them.

"I think everybody could feel the romance," she said, adding that people uncorked champagne when they heard "I now pronounce you man and wife."

Crowds fill the streets

There was one moment, Jason said, when the crowd was less than impressed. "The first kiss was almost like a peck and the crowds reaction was like 'Aww man, that was it?'"

"So when they did it again the crowd went wild."

The royal wedding's best-kept secret (the dress!) is out - and Catherine's long-sleeved, Chantilly lace gown is being widely touted as reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress.

When Kelly married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956 - also in April - her dress, designed by Helen Rose, was made by the MGM’s wardrobe department and featured rose point lace, silk faille, silk tulle, and seed pearls.

Catherine's gown is Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and the new Duchess of Cambridge is said to have played a large role in the design. The train measures is approximately eight feet. The ivory satin bodice - narrowed at the waist and padded at the hips - is signature Alexander McQueen. The back features 58 gazar and organza-covered buttons and Rouleau button loops. The underskirt is fashioned from silk tulle with a Cluny trim.

Catherine also wore a 1936 Cartier tiara – a loaner from Queen Elizabeth. At least we know she had her “something borrowed” covered!

Over at iReport, we’ve heard from royal wedding watchers around the world who went without sleep to watch the big event.

We’re perhaps most fascinated by this one:

Andrew Christian of Adamstown, Pitcairn Island, tells us the remote British overseas territory in the South Pacific, home to only about 50 people, normally has electricity for just 10 hours a day.

But on Friday, the government left the power on so locals could watch the royal wedding live on CNN - one of only two TV stations received there. Christian, a hardware supervisor (above at left, with two friends), said there was "a lot of hype from the islanders," who stayed up through the early hours to capture the moment.

Hollywood loves making movies about the royals and in the past few years there have been a bunch about Kings and Queens having responsibility suddenly thrust upon them.

Of course, very few of them are about commoners. George VI ("The King's Speech") and Elizabeth I ("Elizabeth") grew up as royalty and Elizabeth II ("The Queen") had been running the joint for years before she had to make the tough decisions after Diana's death.

So how's a commoner like Kate Middleton supposed to learn how to be royal?

Two words: King Ralph.

We know, we know, the 1991 movie starring John Goodman as Ralph Jones, a Las Vegas entertainer who finds himself next in line for the British throne, is hardly high art. When it was released 20 years ago (What!), it grossed just $30 million and was savaged by the critics.

But if you're about to marry into royalty you won't find a better primer than this film.

Here then are five things every commoner-turned-royal should know (courtesy of "King Ralph"):

Be yourself. Look, Kate, as soon as you kiss William in Westminster Abbey (keep it clean, you're British, not French) you'll have all sorts of handlers telling you what to wear and how to act. Don't do it. A bunch of guys tried to gussy up Ralph in the movie and it didn't work. Sometimes you just gotta let your freak flag fly. You're a commoner and if the movie's any indication, the punks and strippers will love you. But you first got Wills' attention with a see-through dress, so you know what you're doing.

Make the right friends. We don't think you're going to try to sell-off your legacy to the highest bidder like Fergie, but it's easy to fall in with the wrong crowd when you start somewhere new. In a 97-minute movie, Ralph was fooled by his butler, the Finns, a power-hungry Lord and a stripper. Yes, the stripper was Ralph's true love, eventually admitted she was part of the conspiracy, and returned the money but still... But you first got Wills' attention with a see-through dress, so you know what you're doing.

Avoid the harpsichord. You know how to play the piano. At some function you will be tempted to play "Good Golly, Miss Molly" on one of the antique instruments in Buckingham Palace. Don’t.

Don't trust John Hurt. I know you probably think this is a non-issue. John Hurt is a busy guy, making movies and doing charity work. But consider the fact he's a Commander of the Order of the British Empire so if a dragon shows up (We think that's what the Order does?), they might have to call him in. And remember he was a jerk in "V For Vendetta," too! John Hurt is THAT evil. So, watch yourself around him. However, if the "Harry Potter" movies are to be believed, he does make excellent wands. Remember that in case there are any dragons.

Learn your history.

Nobody’s perfect, Kate, and you'll probably make a few royal gaffes along the way and will have to defend yourself in an impassioned speech in Parliament, probably referencing the Treason Act of 1702. Be ready.

One radio station’s angry caller, and the folks at the Philadelphia Daily News are surely not among the hundreds of people camping out near Westminster Abbey, hoping to spot the Royals on their way to the ceremony.

A British man, who identified himself as Melvin, called in to BBC’s Three Counties radio program to express his anger toward the abundance of royal wedding coverage.

“I feel like I want to kill myself. I’m so sick of it,” Melvin said. “It’s going to be like ‘Night of the Living Dead’ - all these zombie-like creatures coming out.”

He added: “There are thousands like me, but we’re not allowed to speak our minds about it. … If I say what I want to say, I’ll be banned. I’ll be taken off the air forever. … Royal wedding, royal wedding. … I’m bloody fed up.”

And Melvin isn’t alone.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Daily News, a tabloid newspaper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, published a “Royal Smackdown,” of sorts.

“Kate Middleton, Kate Schmiddleton,” the piece begins. “You want a princess, we'll give you a princess. Her Serene Highness, Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco.”

The article goes on to explain why Kelly, a Philadelphia-native (and it all makes sense), would win “the great princess smackdown” - from “higher style” to “more sex.”

The writer goes on to say: “In all honesty, Kelly had a better British accent.”

Do you identify more with Melvin and the Daily News, or have you given in to the royal wedding hoopla? Let us know in the comments below.
