“Project Runway” might be on hiatus, but that doesn’t mean the reality show can’t get in on the royal fun.
The Bravo-turned-Lifetime series, which features designers competing to create well-made and innovative clothing, asked former contestants to submit a sketch of the wedding dress they envision Kate Middleton wearing on her big day.
More than 50 “Runway” designers from the show’s eight seasons sketched a gown for Middleton, who, according to Prince William's office, is choosing to keep her wedding wear a secret until she walks down the aisle on April 29.
The “Runway” designs - ranging from traditional gowns to alternative styles and colors – can be seen here.
The project, according to a press release, was dreamed up in anticipation for Lifetime’s upcoming original movie, “William and Kate” - to premiere on April 18.

I'd be seriously embarrassed if any of those amateur-looking drawings were mine. Wow. Really sad.
The smart and right rsnsopee could be to search elsewhere for that certain handbag and numerous other people until you get it and by no means give up on your dreams. If your dreamwould be to own Coach handbags, then make your dreams come accurate by going on the web and obtaining that handbag that you want. You are certain to get a Coach Carly for under $90 or that Coach Signature Stripe you have dreamt of for around $100.
Amatuer-looking, indeed! One designer has a website called sistahsofharlem. Um, yeah. The future Queen of England's gonna choose a gown from someone like that. NOT.
I think this article was a desperate plea to promote Project Runway. I like the show but there's NO WAY one of their newbie designers has a chance in heck of ever working with Kate Middleton.
"someone like that"? sounds racist to me. granted the design isn't great but you make it sound like a black person could never design a gown worthy enough for Kate MIddleton or any royal.
She is a butaeiful girl and always smiling. A sunny disposition will be an asset when living in a fishbowl. I wish them both luck. They seem like classy kids.
To ansewr your question literally, No.However, it looks like you have done some transaction that the credit card company defines as a cash advance.Everything the credit card company does is spelled out in writing and is provided to you by law. However, the disclosure is in small print and not easy to read.Things that may be/are counted as a cash advance-ATM withdrawals, balance transfers, convenience checks, gaming chips, lottery tickets, deposits to offshore sportsbooks
It was not their intention to vie for the priviledge of designing Ms.Middleton's wedding gown. This was for fun. Lighten up.
God save the queen if Gretchen Jones submits one of her diaper-inspired designs.
Amen to that!
@Becki- LOL! Good one. THose were hideous.
Yes, I'm aware of Manders' tqunhiece. I though hard about doing all those computations on the GPU myself, but there is a big difference between our samples. He only has lines for which to draw shadows, while I have polygons with arbitrary number of edges. For a line, no matter of the light's position relative to it, the shadow always has the same shape. This is not so for a polygon, and depends both on the shape of the polygon and on the position of the light. One way to do this would be to draw the shadow volumes for each edge of the polygon, in the same way as Manders draws shadows for his lines, but depending on the level of detail of that polygon, this could result in a great number of Draw calls (order of tens), as opposed to a single Draw call for the whole object's shadow, as it happens now. These add up, and may actually hurt performance more than benefit it.This is one area where DirectX10 geometry shaders would come in handy, as they could be used to generate the shadow's geometry on the GPU, for any convex shape imaginable. But since XNA is DX9 only, for now I'll have to stick to doing all this on the CPU.One other idea would be to move these computations on another thread, and use multi-threading, but this is dangerous territory as well.
Michael Costello's was lovely. Proved that once again, he was one of the true talents of his season.
Michael was one of my favorites, and he never got the credit he deserved. His talent was always overshadowed by the dreadful Ivy (shudder). I wouldn't trust her to hem my pants.
I think Malan Breton's gown is the most modern, chic, and age appropriate! Made in cream, or off white, this would be beautiful.
I think Michael Costello's look is the best!! He is so talented!!
mosrtos on April 16, 2011 very innovative work-outs. 24 hours is too much for me though, I like to keep my workouts between 30 min to 1 hour and then go home.
Count another vote for Malan B's dress, though not in red. The bodice would be super flattering on Kate M. ... I also really liked Daniel Franco's, Leanne Marshall's, Rami's, and Michael Costello's. Some of them seemed to care more about the concept of their drawing than the dress that would be created from it.
Looks like it was designed for a drag queen.
Gordana Gehehausen from Season 6 was okay and I actually liked Nick Veroes From Season 2 adn Simone LeBlanc from Season 6. The rest were hideous.
Who really gives a crap? Its a wedding event for England, not us. Big whoop!
then why bother clicking on the link and looking through the sketches?
seems you're just as interested as anyone else...
